1.Murders in El Gatton, Australia.December 26, 1898
On the night of St.Stephen's Day, Michael Murphy and his two sisters disappeared after trying to attend a canceled dance.His mother sent her son to look for them. He found their bodies tomorrow December 27.The two women beaten to death and Michael shot dead.Their bodies were arranged in a triangle in an East-West orientation.
Unfortunately, the evidence at the scene of the crime they were destroyed when the clients of a local hotel went to the scene of the events.The murders have not been resolved, although family members were put under investigation.
2.Assessment Atos of Lake Bodom, Finland.June 5, 1960
On June 5, 1960, four teenage friends were camping on the shore of Lake Bodom, in Finland, when they were attacked, would be between 4 and 6 in the morning. The attacker used a knife and a baton to kill 3 of the teenagers , and hit the room in the face, leaving him with a concussion and a broken jaw.Believing he was dead, the killer left the scene.
This last boy was the only survivor: Nils Wilhelm Gustafsson. Nils lived a relatively normal life until 2005, when he was arrested under the suspicion of having committed the homicides, although the charges were dropped later.Other suspects include an alleged KGB spy and a drunken farmer who confessed to the crimes.However, he had his wife's alibi who said the farmer did not leave the house that night.Still free.
3.Athalia Ponsell Lindsley, United States, January 23, 1974
The former model, actress and political activist, Athalia Ponsell Lindsley, was killed on the stairs of her house in San Agustin, Florida. She was attacked with a machete and almost beheaded.The main suspect was her neighbor, Alan Stanford , who had already threatened her in the past.In fact, another of the neighbors said Stanford had committed such a crime that night.However, Stanford was acquitted for lack of evidence, and for the incompetence of the police.This case became even more interesting shortly thereafter.
Frances Bemis, friend and neighbor of Lindsley , was a public relations representative.She began her own research on her friend, and mentioned what was there Discovered information about Lindsley's death.Shortly after, on November 3, 1974, Frances was found dead , having been struck in the skull with a brick.This murder also remains unsolved.did Frances discover? Once again, his murderer, apparently himself, was not caught nor was the crime solved.
