Is there anyone there?
Is with hide phrase pronounced by Carol Anne before the television screen, I mark an era within the world of horror and science fiction movies. We all remember the family of the Freelings , ravaged by persistent paranormal phenomena determined to take the smallest of the house: beings from beyond fascinated by the "light" of Carol Anne.Such was the success of the first film and the significant collection at the box office, who did not hesitate to make two more movies, one in 86 and another in 88 .
But while the audience enjoyed the movies, their special effects and the wonderful soundtrack of Jerry Goldsmith, its actors and production team suffered a series of events that took many years to meet.It was JoBeth Williams (the excellent actress who embodied Carol Anne's mother, Diane Freeling) who made some explosive statements on a television channel in 2002, leaving everyone who listened to her speechless. The facts that accompanied the unique Poltergeist filming , were the following:
- In the first movie, a pretty familiar scene happens where Diane falls into a pool that the family was building.it intermingles with the presence of a group of deceased belonging to the slabs that extended under the house.Well, the skeletons were real .Real human bodies were used in both the first and second films from Poltergeist.
- Also in the second installment of the movie something really strange happened. They had to shoot in a cave. But the team was unable to stay inside that place for a long time. They felt restless , observe You and menaces. So much so that the actor Will Sampson , who played Taylor the shaman (best known for being the giant Indian of the movie "Someone flew over the cuckoo's nest" ), dared to make an exorcism.
- A year later, this same actor, just died just during the release of the movie Poltergeist II.
- Julian Beck , the terrifying preacher Kane of the second installment, also died before the official release of this same installment.
- These first data may have surprised you, but the most shocking thing remains What happened to the two Freeling sisters. In 1982 Dominique Dunne, the older sister of Carol Anne passed away. This girl died strangled at the hands of her partner with only 22 years. As shocking as you think, this boy left inde The crime is considered "involuntary manslaughter".
- And now it remains to be known perhaps the most creepy fact of all. Carol Anne .The charming actress who played it in the three deliveries was called Heather O'Rourke .He died in February 1988, days before the third installment Poltergeist was released III. But how? you might ask.I was only 12 years old.On January 31 of that year he contracted something that seemed to have the symptoms of a flu… it was never known for sure that it was really what made her sick, but in a few days the state of little Heather was getting worse until it was necessary to perform an intestinal operation, but unfortunately she never woke up again. Simply incredible.
- We have already known the most tragic thing about these movies, but you still have to take into account other incidents that happened during the filming that will end up scaring you even more.Do you remember the robot What attacked Robbie, Carol Anne's brother? Well, the attack was real.It was Richard Edlund in charge of designing the fabulous special effects of the movie, and who built that robot. But something happened, the doll grabbed the neck of young actor Oliver Robins so strongly that began to drown ; in fact, the film crew itself had to intervene so that it did not die.
- James Kahn , was the film's film adapter. The poor man was injured after a lightning bolt he would fall on his trailer during the filming.
- During a production scene where a fire should roll in the garage, the fire went out of control to such an extent that all the members who they were wounded there.
- The actress who played the medium Tangina (Zelda Rubenstein) suddenly had a strange sensation. So much so that it was harder every day to go to the Filming of Poltergeist. Finally, he received a short call while he was shooting a scene: his mother had just died.
