The haunting in Connectitut was a movie released in 2009 that describes the supernatural events that the Campbell family has to face when moving to a house that formerly served as a funeral home.
The real story behind the movie
What not many people know is that this movie is based on the real story of the family of Karen Parker .
In the 80s, the Parker family moved to a house in Southington, Connecticut , this in order to be closer from the hospital where one of Karen's children was being treated for cancer.
The house was really big and scary, the family always got the attention they had crucifixes by t Everywhere and later they would discover in the basement the funeral team with which they prepared the corpses, in addition to a number of old photographs in which people posed together their dead relatives , a very repeated tradition in the Victorian era.
The family described the continuous attack they suffered from several demonic apparitions , doors that opened and closed alone, lights that turned on and off, strange smells, food rotted in seconds, voices at night, steps at all hours of the day, there came a time when the attacks became more violent and that was when they decided to contact Ed and Lorraine Warren , famous paranormal investigators and demonologists.
Paranormal investigators
In 1988 Ed and Lorraine investigated the case, they immediately realized that the Parker family was telling the truth, in fact, E d Warren would comment later for an NBC documentary that he got to see the appearances of two girls playing and laughing in the main room. When Ed approached them, the girls disappeared .
The creepiest thing about this story is that Lorraine Warren herself affirmed that the movie is not as scary as the real experience was, although I also assert that today the house is free of specters , since in 1988 a property exorcism was carried out freeing it from the demonic presences that lived there.
