Normally when naming a new street, promenade or mountain it is about some illustrious artist or event that would help define the story, but in the case of the appointment of the Dyatlov Pass only death and unsolved mysteries stain the honor given.

The mysterious event that named the Dyatlov Pass
In the Ural Mountains, in Russia, a group of students sought to take a break from the routine by taking a small excursion, something they were accustomed to and felt comfortable doing. It was a group consisting of eight men and two women, led by Igor Dyatlov, all graduates of the Ural Polytechnic Institute.Being sure of the walk ahead, the group documented their trip with cameras. They took many photos where they looked happy and carefree, totally ignorant of the terrible danger that was coming.

A hiker named Yuri Yudin suddenly left the excursion, He became ill and decided to go to the nearest village to take refuge. As the weather made the conditions mildly dangerous, Dyatlov told Yudin that if they did not return in 10 days, he would send a rescue group to avoid any Unexpected situation.
On January 31, the group arrived at the edge of the mountainous area, they had enough food and equipment to make the excursion smoothly in 10 days.It seems they planned to cross the pass (now Dyatlov Pass ) and camping for the next night on the opposite side, but due to worsening weather conditions-snowstorms and increasingly reduced visibility-they lost their orientation and turned westward, specifically towards the top of Kholat Syakhl.
Body of Zinalda Kolmogorova (22 years old)When they realized that they were somewhere else, the group decided to stop to better assess the situation and set up camp there, on the mountainside. They tried to send a telegram to be picked up, but it never came.1.5km downhill there was a wooded area that would have offered a refuge from the elements, but it is suspected that they did not choose that place-much safer-not to lose altitude.

Ten days went by and nothing was known about the students, which led Yudin to go with the rescue group to look for them. On February 26, 59 they found the camp in a very bad situation, all the stores of c ampana were broken from within and in them there were students' belongings and clothes, but there was no sign of them.
Apparently something forced them to violently leave their stores and leave everything back, considering the temperature they were at (-16ºC) is crazy.Shortly after they found the bodies of the hikers, most were almost naked and had rare lacerations on the body, some lacked the tongue and they had a fractured skull.

As if things weren't quite strange, despite all the inconsistent wounds found in the bodies, the cause of official death for all was always hypothermia. In some cases, however, they wrote that "A strange unknown force" was used to kill hikers. They immediately closed the case and banned the investigations. What leaves many thinking: what really happened at the Dyatlov Pass?
