They had a son whom they called Abe no Doshi who would later be known as Abe Seimei.But happiness of the family would not last long, since it was discovered that Princess Kusunoha was actually a «kitsune» , a spirit of fox , specifically the fox that Abe had saved no Yasuna become a woman .With great pain for all three, Kusunoha was forced to return to the forest in her primitive form.However, thanks to her, her son possessed those powers that made him the most important sorcerer in Japan.

Another one of the legends tells us about his confrontation with another wizard named Doman.They both beat each other in a divination duel.Doman had cheated.the judge of the confrontation, knew that within the box whose content they had to guess there would be 15 mandarins.Abe Seimei learned of the dwarf and turned the fruit into 15 rats.Doman lost the tournament he thought he had won and suffered a humiliating defeat.

If you travel to Kyoto you can visit a sanctuary dedicated to the person of Abe no Seimei who is in the place where the unique character had his home.
