Today we invite you, once again, to walk with Mysterious through a new spooky scenario.
Stull, the city of German and Dutch settlers with their "strange" practices. The origin of rumors about the cemetery of Stull.
Before being Stull, this small town ten kilometers from Lawrence, Kansas, was named Deer Creek Community. It is known that in 1857 there were six families those who lived in these lands, all of them German and Dutch settlers who did not take long to want to raise their own church.Once raised, the sermons were officiated in German until well into the twentieth century, at which time, the city began to expand with a post office, stores, banks and an electrical network.
Later, the name was changed to Stull by the postmaster, Sylvester Stull, a man who acquired considerable power and influence in this small city and began to promote more changes.Sermons in the church would cease to be made in German, and even more, a new church would be built, a larger and better one, while enabling some lands to create a cemetery in conditions.Perhaps these decisions and these «ai res of modernity »caused« something »to start bothering.

We must bear in mind that from 1857 to 1920, the Stull community remained deeply rooted in its European traditions, its religion and a secrecy created by those six families that had made their way into a new country, but maintaining a very traditional mentality. Historians suspect that far from practicing the evangelical religion, they tended more towards a kind of darker practices that could be related clearly with Satanism .Arrived the twentieth century and with the news that a new Church was going to rise, tragedies began to break through.
First it was the fires.Later , the son of a farmer appeared burned in the middle of the field.Weeks later, the suicides began.Several people were that appeared hanging in one of the trees of the new cemetery, where the old church was also located. But there is more, to the personal tragedies the economic ones were added : the railroad would no longer reach Stull, the concession had been canceled and, as if that were not enough, one of the strongest banks in the country also fell behind when taking one of its branches to that town in Kansas.

The old church would be abandoned thereafter, alone and empty on top of a hill. The trades were now heading towards the newer construction. However, it was known that at night there were many neighbors who approached the cemetery and that old church to celebrate their private masses, their rites, their invocations. You will be surprised s I also know that everything that happened here became known thanks to an article published by the University of Kansas in November 1974.
There was talk of these masses, of the presences that used to appear there, of the invocations to the devil and from that Church where numerous rites used to be celebrated.Do you know what the result was? That the city of Stull became a pilgrimage destination for all the acolytes of the Satanism.Or maybe they were simple curious, it is not clear, what is known is that on March 20, 1978, more than 150 people who were waiting for Satan himself, make an appearance.

And it happened, did the Devil appear? Of course not, but the legend is still very much alive today, in spite of the fact that the old church was demolished in 2002.However, there is still a tree, that tree in which several people committed suicide, where as they say, numerous ghosts appear... Would you dare to visit Stull's cemetery? While you decide, we invite you to remember the amazing cemetery of Pierre Lachaise de Paris.
